Time Killer Thursdays!

Today, I’ll just be sharing a few random things with you guys and updating one something exciting soon to come! yay~

And if I sound overly high in this post, please excuse me – I’m high on choco milk

First of all, I have exciting news to share with you! You guys all know how much I love Etsy. And, some of you know that one of my hobbies is making bead stretch bracelets~ I like to make them for friends/family presents and just for me to wear as well ;D haha

Being that I really love making them and want to continue to make tons tons more, I decided to open an etsy shop and sell the bracelets that I make~ It’s not open yet, but will be soon. I’ll give you guys an update once everything is complete and my little online shop opens. I’ve already made some of the bracelets that I will be selling~

As you’ll see, I don’t have many different color schemes of bracelets. This is because, well.. beads are expensive and I couldn’t buy so much at once. BUT, once the shop opens and I sell some of them, I’ll be going back to buy more beads in various colors.

Here are the bracelets that I made so far :) Each one is different and was very lovingly made~

If any of you guys own online shops, could you give me some advice – if you have any, that is. I’ve actually never done anything like this before and am kind of nervous… O_O okay dokes…

oh yeah! and what do you guys think of the bracelets? Please give me an honest opinion. It would help me a lot!~

In the future, I would like to not only sell bracelets but sell other little handmade goods as well. But, that’s for later when I graduate and have even more free time~

Second news is… I found out how do something really cool with a white gel pen (Gelly Roll 08 from Sakura).

I was bored and started to draw on my moleskine notebook cover. I thought that it would erase right off as soon as I swiped it… BUT it didn’t!

If you draw on your moleskine (actually, on any hard surface) and let the ink dry completely, it won’t erase off unless you scrub it really hard with your hands.

Of course, I have decorated it with little scribbles and my favorite quotes~

Like the turtle? Can you find my signature in it? ;) Love to whoever finds it~ (it’s actually quite obvious.. I think…)

My moleskine is one of the most important things that I carry around in my purse/backpack. It follows me everywhere I go. I write little notes and doodles in it.

Here’s my favorite part of this moleskine – the inner cover. It’s filled with photos of me and my friends… and a little hope/wish/message as well :) If any of my macs are reading this – I miss you :( BUT see you soon~ I can’t wait for our road trip (and I pre-planned for us to go to Europe someday as well haha) ! AND for my readers, I will have tons of photos of this future road trip. #superexcited

Also, one more exciting thing~

I started a new canvas artwork! (I don’t only work on one artwork at a time… I’m usually balancing at least five at once – that’s just how I work && my comme des garcons inspired dress is on its way. I only need to make the headpiece. I’m done with the dress that goes underneath and connected it all. Pic of it so far will be up on twitter (@pshawscorner) this weekend~!

It’s actually a.. not embroidered.. but.. stitched… erm. I’m not sure how to describe it. but its sewn with embroidery thread through a canvas covered with gouache and acrylic paint. It’s taking forever and makes my hand hurts like **** (sorry) but I think at the end, it’ll be worth it! I’m planning to sew most of it and then apply sequins and other sparkly stuff of another part of it! A picture will definitely be up when its finished~

Once I’m done with this artwork, I’m planning to practice embroidery more and embroider a skull on the back of one of my denim jackets (and maybe cut it into a vest)! I was really inspired by this piece from Alexander McQueen’s collection from a while back (I think it was 2007ish?) :)

I absolutely love the skull on this. I think it would amazing on the back of the jacket~!!
